At Laight AI Inc. ("Laight AI", "we", "us"), we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you, as a user, can request the deletion of your personal data and any data we have obtained on your behalf via connected platforms (including Meta, Google, and others).
This page also serves as the official Data Deletion Instructions URL required by Meta Platform for app review.
1. What Data Can Be Deleted
Upon your verified request, we will delete:
- Your account profile information (name, email, company, etc.)
- Authentication tokens and credentials
- Advertising performance data ingested from connected platforms (e.g., Meta Ads, Google Ads) on your behalf
- Logs, usage data, and any other personal data associated with your account
- Backups (subject to standard backup rotation cycles)
2. How to Request Data Deletion
Currently, Laight AI provides data deletion services through our support channel to ensure the secure and thorough removal of your information. If you wish to delete your account or any data retrieved from Meta Platforms, please follow the steps below:
Submit a Request via Email: Send an email to contact@laight.ai with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
Provide Identity Verification: Please include the email address associated with your Laight AI account or your Meta Ad Account ID to help us verify your identity.
Processing: Upon receiving your request, our team will process the deletion of all your personal data and Meta-derived advertising data from our databases and ETL systems.
Confirmation: We will send you a confirmation email once the deletion process is complete. This process typically takes 3 to 7 business days, and no more than 30 days.
Note: Once data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. If you only wish to disconnect the API without deleting historical data, you can manage this via your [Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites].
3. Processing Timeline
- Acknowledgement: Within 3 business days of receiving your request
- Verification: We may request additional information to verify your identity
- Deletion: Active production data deleted within 30 days of verification
- Backup Removal: Data on backup systems will be removed within 45 days in accordance with our backup rotation policy
You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
4. Data We May Retain
In limited circumstances, we may retain certain information after a deletion request, including:
- Records required to comply with legal, tax, or audit obligations
- Information needed to detect or prevent fraud or abuse
- Aggregated and de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you
Any retained data will be protected with the same level of security and only used for the limited purposes described above.
5. Third-Party Platforms
Laight AI processes advertising data on your behalf via third-party APIs. Once you submit a deletion request:
- We will delete data we have stored.
- However, the original data on the third-party platforms (e.g., Meta, Google) is not controlled by Laight AI. To delete data on those platforms, you must contact them directly.
